The Lee County Complex is home to the Twins and their six minor league affiliates. It features five full and two half-fields, the centerpiece of which is a 7,500-seat stadium in which the major league Twins play their exhibition games and conduct some of their daily workouts. The Twins won 21 games here in 1991.

Chain of Lakes Park

Interesting Facts

Chain of Lakes Park is the seventh Spring Training home for the Indians. The beautiful facility was first built in 1966 and then renovated in 1993, raising the seating capacity to 7,000. The symmetric park's foul lines are 340 feet deep and the center field wall sits 425 feet back. Not an easy poke.

This ballpark is one of the best ballparks in the league, but is the only ballpark not used by a minor league team during the summer. Numerous palm trees are around City of Palms Park and are behind the outfield fence making for a nice setting.

Directions at Disney World are clear and plentiful, but there's no signage that points the direction to Cracker Jack Stadium. Instead, follow the signs to Wide World of Sports. The stadium has been the home of the Atlanta Braves for seven years and is one of the finest in the grapefruit league.

The Dodgers first set up camp in Vero Beach in 1948 at the invitation of local businessman Bud Holman after the city needed a tenant to occupy the former World War II naval air station. For his efforts, the Dodgers named their spring training stadium after Holman. The 6,500-seat Holman Stadium opened on March 11, 1953

Originally built in 1923, its first tenants were the St. Louis Cardinals. In the early 1990s, the ballpark was rebuilt and it's named after former Bradenton resident and Hall of Fame manager Bill McKechnie. The Bucs have been playing there for more than three decades.
