Shibe Park Demolition Photos

For more than six decades it was home of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Athletics. It was originally known as Shibe Park after A's owner Ben Shibe and later renamed Connie Mack Stadium after the legendary manager of the A's. The A's moved to Kansas City in the 1950's and the Phillies moved into Veterans Stadium in 1971. Shibe Park sat empty for five years and was partially destroyed by fire in 1971. In 1976, Shibe Park was demolished. Shown below are photos taken in 1976.
