Parking

Fans arriving early enough can snag parking meters within a couple of blocks of the Dome. The meters close by have eight-hour limits and will set a lucky carload back only about $4 a game. Expect to pay around $5 to $7 for a Twins game.

Where are all the eight-hour meters?
Find them on South Third, Fourth and Fifth Streets from the Metrodome west to Fifth Avenue South. There also are some along Chicago, Park, Portland and Fifth avenues between Washington Avenue and South Seventh Street. Don't stray too far from the Dome; meters farther away offer only a two-hour limit.

These are the closest parking lots:
On South Fourth Street, just east of Chicago Avenue ($7 for Twins)
On both sides of South Fourth Street between Chicago and Park avenues ($7 for Twins)
On South Fourth Street between Park and Portland avenues ($6 for Twins)
On South Fourth Street between Portland Avenue and Fifth Avenue South (Two lots, actually: The north side of the street is $3 for Twins; the south side is $6 for Twins.)
There's also a handicapped-only lot on Chicago Avenue between South Third and South Fourth streets. For the Twins, it's only $5.

If you're coming in from the east on I-94, there's a lot just off the Fifth Street exit. Slow down quickly and try to grab a spot at the pay lot just to the left as you enter downtown. The bonus here is that you'll have easy access to eastbound I-94 once the game ends.
